It came as no surprise to us when Lisa expressed interest in becoming a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA). Thus bringing an added extension to her skills, and definitely no surprise that she recently successfully qualified.
The course has given Lisa confidence in her approach when dealing with people in her daily work. In this business we often have to deal with clients who have experienced overwhelmingly negative events. We may even have to deliver news that is not what the client is expecting. So knowing how to correctly manage and help navigate our clients through these difficult times is essential.
The MHFA course trains people to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a problem and to listen, reassure and respond in a crisis. And to recognize when people may need to access further support.
People can experience anxiety when dealing with claims and Lisa is skilled in taking the pressure away from them giving a high level of customer service. Lisa applies what she has learned in her MHFA training and guides and encourages clients to take the necessary action. This follows through to supporting her family, friends and colleagues too.
This is an example of the kind of person our Lisa is. When the CEO of CCL gave all staff an hour off to get an ice-cream in the sunshine with a loved one. Instead of doing something for herself, Lisa selflessly took this time to be with a friend who was recently bereaved and support her in every way she could. Hardly surprising that Lisa works so hard to get the very best outcome for our clients, it’s in her DNA.

Lisa is currently studying a Human Resources course through CIPD. In her own words, this is in order to create a positive work place for her colleagues.

As Accounts Manager at Cobine Carmelson, she’s the steady hand behind complex Commercial Combined and Liability Insurance solutions, bringing decades of real-world expertise from the Philippines to the UAE and now to the UK market.

Kristine Mirabueno – Making Excellence Look Effortless
If you ask Jason what makes Kristine exceptional, he’ll tell you it’s not just what she does – it’s how she thinks. With six years of experience supporting C-suite executives and founders across different industries, Kristine joined Cobine Carmelson with something rare: the ability to see three steps ahead while managing what’s right in front of her.
Working remotely from the Philippines, Kristine operates in a different time zone, which means when the UK team starts their day, the groundwork is already done. Campaigns are built. Events are coordinated. Problems are solved before they become problems. But what sets Kristine apart isn’t just efficiency – it’s her understanding that in insurance brokerage, every touchpoint matters because businesses are depending on us to protect what they’ve spent years building.
Take the recent cyber insurance seminar. While most people see event coordination as logistics – book the venue, send the invitations, show up on the day – Kristine sees it differently. She knows that for a business owner sitting in that room, this might be the conversation that saves them from a devastating ransomware attack. So, she doesn’t just “coordinate” – she ensures every detail supports that outcome. The PowerPoint presentation includes custom animations that make complex concepts clear. The follow-up system captures exactly how each attendee found us, because if LinkedIn outreach brought in five CEOs who need protection, we need to do more of it.
After the event, Kristine spent hours cross-referencing data across three platforms – Eventbrite, LinkedIn Helper, and Keap – to map the complete journey of every single attendee. Not because anyone asked her to, but because she understood something important: knowing whether someone engaged with the newsletter three weeks ago versus discovering us on Eventbrite the day before tells us how to reach the next business owner before disaster strikes.
Kristine takes her professional development as seriously as she takes her work. She recently completed security awareness training through KnowBe4 – not for a certificate to display, but because understanding cybersecurity threats makes her better at supporting our cyber insurance practice. She’s currently studying insurance fundamentals through professional courses because she believes you can’t truly support clients in this industry without understanding what’s at stake when a claim goes wrong or when a business isn’t properly covered.
Kristine will tell you that the best support work is invisible – when systems run smoothly, when nothing falls through the cracks, when the team can focus on clients because the infrastructure just works. But what she’s building isn’t just operational efficiency. She’s building the pathways that connect business owners who need protection with the expertise that can help them. And in insurance, that work saves livelihoods.
