We know how lucky we are at CCL to have Lisa on our team. Putting aside for a moment, the years of experience and professionalism in the industry that she brings, Lisa is the ultimate People Person. This shows in the way she expertly handles tricky and difficult claims and maintains excellent relations with both our clients and the insurers and always with a genuine smile. She is renowned for her fair dealing and always listens to all sides in a claim.
It came as no surprise to us when Lisa expressed interest in becoming a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA). Thus bringing an added extension to her skills, and definitely no surprise that she recently successfully qualified.
The course has given Lisa confidence in her approach when dealing with people in her daily work. In this business we often have to deal with clients who have experienced overwhelmingly negative events. We may even have to deliver news that is not what the client is expecting. So knowing how to correctly manage and help navigate our clients through these difficult times is essential.
The MHFA course trains people to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a problem and to listen, reassure and respond in a crisis. And to recognize when people may need to access further support.
People can experience anxiety when dealing with claims and Lisa is skilled in taking the pressure away from them giving a high level of customer service. Lisa applies what she has learned in her MHFA training and guides and encourages clients to take the necessary action. This follows through to supporting her family, friends and colleagues too.
This is an example of the kind of person our Lisa is. When the CEO of CCL gave all staff an hour off to get an ice-cream in the sunshine with a loved one. Instead of doing something for herself, Lisa selflessly took this time to be with a friend who was recently bereaved and support her in every way she could. Hardly surprising that Lisa works so hard to get the very best outcome for our clients, it’s in her DNA.

Lisa is currently studying a Human Resources course through CIPD. In her own words, this is in order to create a positive work place for her colleagues.
